People Watching: Boston Edition

While a student at dear ol' Conn Coll, I would routinely spend 2 hours in the Harris dining hall. What could make me idle for hours amongst the salad bar, main line delicacies, and froyo machine infinitely offering only 1 flavor, you ask? Yes, there was always horsey sauce, but really what kept me lodged to those booths and cloth covered wooden chairs was a favorite past-time of mine...people watching.

People watching - v. (pee-pull wah-ching) taking pleasure in the act of observing, commenting on, and analyzing the various array of other persons in your immediate surrounding area (antonym: peeping tom...well, mostly an antonym)

I thought Harris offered one of the finest venues for people watching. However, one of the greatest pleasures of living in a city is the wealth of visual stimuli that comes along with it, and Boston lacks nothing in this area. From here on out, I will periodically do a column about the interesting sights around Beantown, basically things that I see that are ridiculous, and there's no shortage here. I'll start this tradition with my next column. Enjoy and look out.
